The map shows the sensors on an interactive map and in relation to the AB 617 community boundary – providing insight into the spatial variability of air pollutants
The colors are based on pollutant concentration (lighter = lower concentrations, darker = higher concentrations)
Location/site descriptions are shared on the “About” page, below
You can click on sensors for more information (a pop-up will appear)
Use the filters in the bar at the top to change the pollutant or time-averaging period displayed
For reference, the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for each pollutant are as follows:
PM10 - 150 µg/m3 (value applies to 24-hour averages, which matches one of the time averaging options, “Latest 24 Hour”)
PM2.5 – 35 µg/m3 (value applies to 24-hour averages, which matches one of the time averaging options, “Latest 24 Hour”)
O3 - 70 ppb (value applies to 8-hour averages, which is shorter than the averaging period shown in this plot, “Latest 8 Hours”)
NO2 - 100 ppb (value applies to 1-hour averages, which matches one of the time averaging options, “Latest 1 Hour”)
